The insurance department engages in all areas of insurance and reinsurance law, including subrogation claims and contribution (double insurance) claims in cases of damages in the hundreds of millions of shekels, professional and product liability claims, including claims against doctors, medical institutions, engineers, architects, lawyers and accountants, pharmaceutical companies, and claims involving directors and officers insurance, business interruption (BI) insurance, employer liability, corporations, local authorities and regional councils.

The department’s legal team also specializes in insurance and damages-related mass torts and class actions including on questions of insurance coverage for these types of suits.

The department carries out a thorough study of each individual case, including an examination of the basic facts and the identities of the judges and opposing parties.
